Shopping Saturday

David and I woke up at 4am... it was still dark outside. Tried to go back to sleep to no avail.... damn jetlag!

Brekky in the foyer started at 7am - we were there. Planned the day to begin at mall at 10am. David went across the road to Bass Pro Shop as well. It wasn't too busy.

After lunch, we decided to hop on the Grapevine Shuttle and go down town for a bo peep...

Grapevine is a city in northeast Texas, United States located within the Dallas / Fort Worth metro area. In 2010, the city population was 46,334. The city's moniker is derived from the native grapes prevalent in the area. In recent years several wineries have opened in Grapevine, and the city has been very active in maintaining its historic downtown corridor. The city is adjacent to Grapevine Lake, a large reservoir impounded by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1952 and serves as both a source of water and recreational area. Part of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is located within Grapevine city limits, the largest portion of any municipality bordering the facility. In 2007 CNN Money.com rated Grapevine as one of "America's Best Places to Live."
We walked around looking at the shops and people. Many of the shops are decorated for Halloween and there is also the Grapefest next week (what a shame we're not around for that one!!!). Took some photos of the street decorations!

The shuttle then took us to the airport so we could pick up our car. This took a while so we were very late returning - so it meant a quick trip to Cracker Barrel restaurant for dinner and back to our room!
